Steps to Update WriterDuet on Your Device
Working in an outdated version of the app can cause unintended behavior, but it's very simple to update to our latest version!
In This Article
✅ Check Your Version Number
- To check your version, log into WriterDuet and select your Account icon.
- Depending on your layout, your Account icon will be in the bottom lefthand or upper righthand corner of your screen.
- If you use multiple devices/environments, we recommend checking your version number in your web browser, mobile app, and desktop app.
- Select My Account
- If you see anything older than version 7.0.601, then it may be time to update!

✅ Make Sure Your Work Is Saved
- Log into WriterDuet in a private or incognito browser window.
- Make sure your work is all up to date before proceeding.
- Follow the steps below based on the environment(s) you are working in.
✅ Update
Update in Your Web Browser
- Close all WriterDuet tabs.
- Clear your browser cache from at least 24 hours.
- Log back in and navigate to Help > My Account. You should now see that you're on the most recent version!
- Remove any WriterDuet bookmarks you have and replace them with https://www.writerduet.com/script/.
Update On Your Mobile Device
- iOS users can visit the App Store and Android users can visit the Google Play Store to check for updates and download the latest WriterDuet app version.
- If you use the WriterDuet website on your mobile device, use the same steps specified under "Update in Your Web Browser" above.
Update the Desktop App
Reminder: we strongly encourage you to review all of your projects in a private or incognito web browser window to make sure your latest desktop changes have synced to the servers.
