WRITERDUET INC. ("us", "we", or "our") includes the writerduet.com, writersolo.com, flexdocs.com, readthrough.com, screenplayiq.com, screenplayproof.com, pitchtrailer.com, and elsenario.com websites, the WriterDuet, WriterSolo, ReadThrough, ScreenplayIQ, and Elsenario mobile, browser, and desktop applications, and any other sites, applications, or software offered by WriterDuet Inc. (together considered the "Service").

When it is no longer necessary to retain your Personal Data, we will delete or anonymize it.

WRITERDUET INC. will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

WRITERDUET INC. will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. No transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information. Transferring Your Personal Data Out of the EEA.

To deliver services to you, it is sometimes necessary for us to share your personal information outside the European Economic Area (EEA), e.g.:

  • With your and our service providers located outside the EEA;

WRITERDUET INC. may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

WRITERDUET INC. may disclose your Personal Data and other information that we collect, or you provide, as described in this Privacy Policy:

  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Data confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them;

We take appropriate precautions to protect our users’ personally identifying information. Your account data and content are encrypted in-transit and at rest on cloud servers.

Because all security measures are subject to circumvention, we cannot unequivocally guarantee the effectiveness of our security measures or our ability to prevent unauthorized third parties from unlawfully obtaining information that you provide to us. In particular, because email is an inherently insecure medium, you shouldn't send private communications or sensitive data, such as credit card numbers, to us by email. Your Rights

WRITERDUET INC. aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data.

You can update the following type of Personal Data directly within your account settings section (under Help > Account):

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.

    Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

    You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Authentication

We may use third-party Service Providers for Authentication in our Service. We may request access to your First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone Number, Profile Image. Cloud Storage

We may use third-party Service Providers for Cloud Storage and backups. We use Cloud Storage APIs to store your documents on the WriterDuet cloud, as well as open and store documents directly from your personal storage accounts with the following cloud providers. We only open or store files with your permission or for the specific service being provided. Once files are written on or imported into WriterDuet, they become part of your WriterDuet account. Files written or imported when using our offline-only WriterSolo application are not saved on the WriterDuet cloud.

Payments

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing and payment data services (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

We do not do any training of AI ourselves, and as referenced below, our Large Language Model (LLM) providers' policies explicitly state they will not use data we send them to train their models. We only send your data to LLM resources if you use our ScreenplayIQ service.

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a child without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
